The FLyBOOK : Press Release / Announcement
The industry is one that touts technology when referring to rod, line and reel development. But, the use of technology in the angling industry is not on the mind when you think about its use as best practice when it comes to operating the business side of an outfitting or guiding business. This typically harbors the image of a guide scribbling down some numbers on a sticky note, or pulling to side of the road taking down information on a napkin. The FLyBOOK has proven that the use and acceptance of technology can be a strong competitive advantage for business owners in the angling industry. News from the FLyBOOK for 2011, below.
Press Release:
THE FLYBOOK TO INCREASE TRAFFIC TO WEBSITES IN 2011, FREE SOFTWARE UPGRADES
New Search Engine Optimization and Online Ad Service From The FLyBOOK, Plus Free Upgrades to improve database functionality, payment collection flexibility and organizational tools to assist in Business to Business collaboration.
The FLyBOOK, a custom built business solution for guides and outfitters, is offering a new service for outfitters called “FLyBOOK HI-Vis”, aimed at generating more traffic to customers websites. The company also announced a series of free upgrades to the software for existing customers, including several database search functions, embedded waiver/ receipt/ and policy agreement, and will be testing a system that will encourage business to business collaboration. Today, not only do outfitters using the FLyBOOK have an automated business solution, the ability to book online, manage a “virtual” calendar that can be accessed and edited from anywhere with an internet connection, they will soon be able to create partnerships with other business partners to start generating revenue together!
We have spent most of the last year developing and perfecting several Search Engine Optimization (SEO) programs (“Hi-Vis”) specifically designed for the angling and outdoor industry. Gaining customers through the internet is not as simple as registering a URL and creating a website. Just because a website exists does not mean that it is an asset or tool to your business. Too often small businesses fall into this trap (Trap includes: blogging, facebook and twitter). A website which successfully gains qualified traffic will produce far greater long term results than one that is launched without a thoughtful plan. The FLyBOOK team will help establish a realistic and affordable plan to help you gain traffic to your website from people who are likely to make a purchase.
A myth exists in the marketplace that Digital Marketing is expensive. It certainly can be -- a company like Ford or Budweiser spends a fortune each month in Digital Marketing, but so do their competitors. How much does your competition spend? Probably not much and what they do spend is probably not spent well. We can spend less and get better results. The beauty of most Guides, Outfitters, Specialty Shops, Tour and Trip Operators is that they compete in a very small and targeted market – one that has not been taken over by the Digital Marketing flood currently sinking big business.
The FLyBOOK team helps clients gain more visibility and customers through the internet. Whether you are looking to build a small online advertising campaign for less than $10/month or want to create and brand an entirely new website – FLyBOOK Marketing will build a plan for long term success.
